Carolyn Buzbee

This contestant was born in San Antonio, Texas to two Air Force captains. She moved to WV in 5th grade and graduated from WWHS in 1995. She had a short ride as a river guide the summer after graduation which helped propel her to attend Appalachian State University. She returned to Beckley to study at Concord University where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in art. Becoming a pre-school teacher’s aide at the YMCA Happy Kids Day Care, she was inspired to get her Masters of Arts in teaching at Marshall University. She now teaches art at Independence Middle School. For two summers she was selected as the Teacher-Ranger- Teacher for the National Park Service at New River Gorge National River and while there assisted in the creation of the Arts in the Parks Wildflower contest which continues today. She coordinated a drop-out prevention program at her school allowing her to work hand in hand with the United Way and provided students with extracurricular experiences of new skills and travel. She and her students have also contributed to the Public Art Murals in Beckley. She enjoys yoga, stained glass, playing on the river, dancing, hanging out with friends. She’s married to an awesome guy, teaches yoga at The Yoga Studio in downtown Beckley, and is studying to become a certified Yoga instructor with a great group of ladies at Balanced Life Studio.

Randolph McGraw

Mr. McGraw is a lawyer and owner of the Nationally recognized law firm, The Warren McGraw Law firm. Mr McGraw practices Nationally in the area of Mass Torts and Class action Litigation. He has been honored with membership in the Million Dollar Advocates forum, The Multi Million Dollar advocates Forum, The top 100 hundred trial lawyers in America and has been recognized over the past 10 years in a row with a perfect rating by the prestigious Martindale Hubbell group as a top lawyer in American. He is a pilot, a former professional football player and was elected to and served 5 terms in the WV State Legislature. He is a nationally recognized speaker on the The Opiod Epidemic in America a member of the United Mine Workers of America, The AFL-CIO and a long serving board member on the West Virginia Association for Justice!

Mr. McGraw has been a long time supporter of local school athletic programs as well as his many other philanthropic efforts.

He loves spending his free time in Myrtle Beach SC.

Mr McGraw is a graduate of Pineville HS in Wyoming County and He resides in Beckley with his two children Kindra and Trey McGraw who attend Woodrow Wilson HS and West Virginia University.
